Welcome to Sweat X Soul! I am so glad you're here and joining me on this incredible journey. My name is Carly and I am a San Diego native with a strong passion for fitness, wellness, and community.
Sweat X Soul was created as a resource for women to move, connect, and feel confident in their own skin.
In this blog you will find pre & postnatal approved workouts, #momlife encouragement and personal tricks, some of my favorite products (I’m a crazy researcher), and a little lifestyle goodness as well.
I am a Fitness Professional and have been teaching Group Fitness for over 12 years. I not only love to teach movement but I am BIG on moving to music. The combination of movement + music can be so cathartic and help us have some incredible mental and physical breakthroughs.
I am so excited to combine my background in rhythmic exercise with my soon pre and postnatal certifications so I can show you how to exercise correctly in these critical stages of life (all to a bangin' playlist of course).
I am certified in Yoga (200hr RYT), Indoor Cycling (CycleBar & Schwinn), Barre, TRX, and Les Mills BodyPump. And very shortly I will also have my Pre & Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist and Pre & Postnatal Diastasis and Core Consultant certifications through Fit For Birth.
After a few years of struggling with carrying a baby and dealing with high risk pregnancies, my proudest accomplishment is now being a mom to my son (14 months) and a daughter on the way (due March 2020).
As a new mom, I have felt the emotional and physical ups and downs. I understand the daily struggles to get a workout in, let alone a shower. I have felt the need for community, and I have felt lost in my new skin.
There is no exact roadmap to pregnancy or motherhood -- none of us have the answers.
Please know this blog isn't here to tell you what to do, rather I just want to share my story about what has worked and hasn't worked for me. My goal is to not only encourage you through some of these new steps in life, but to help empower you to live your most confident, authentic life.

I strongly believe that one of the best ways to take care of our children is to take care of ourselves. You can’t be your best mom self when you’re going to coo-coo town, right? Taking care of ourselves is not just about outer appearance, it’s mental, physical, and soulful.
Sweat X Soul is here to help you find that balance so you can be the best you. Whether it’s the 15 minutes you take to move for the day, 5 minutes you take to watch a video on pumping hacks, or just some mindless scrolling of pics and bold letters (#guilty), let Sweat X Soul be a place for you to fill up, connect, and feel good about the badass that you are!
